products that requires Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
techniques. For each product the cost and power consumption
factors carries the most weight. One can implement a product
by using a high power general purpose signal processor however
it will not be cost and power efficient. On the other
hand, one can implement the product in Application Specific
Integrated Circuits (ASIC) however the time to market may be
long and the product may not be flexible. A careful
balance of the two is needed to have a competitive product in
the market. On top of it all, a specific mathematical
function can be mapped into hardware and firmware in many
different ways. With a strong DSP background, Digital
Prospect provides an optimum cost effective solution to the
design.
